A postgraduate in Marketing, Gayatri spent eight years in Export Merchandising before transitioning to silver jewellery designing. A true gypsy at heart, she is an avid traveller, die-hard foodie, and an author. Her love for four wheels and food has taken her across 19 states so far, immersing her in India’s diverse landscapes and rich culinary traditions.
A natural extrovert, she thrives on meeting people and exchanging ideas, especially when it involves adventure, off-roading, and road trips. But for her, driving is more than just being behind the wheel – it’s a passion that fuels her spirit of exploration. Her ultimate dream is to drive a truck across the length and breadth of India. Obtaining her Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) license in a traditionally male-dominated space was a milestone in that journey.
Writing became a natural extension of her travels, a way to share the captivating stories she encountered on the road. She believes some stories deserve to be told, and she aspires to bring them to life. Her recently published book, India On My Wheels – My Travel Stories, is a testament to that journey.
